GRO Certificates & Parish Record Searches
| Births, Marriages and Deaths:
Also known as GRO Certificates, these are full certificates of birth, marriage, death or adoption. We check all supplied GRO Certificate reference numbers before ordering. Civil registration of births marriages and deaths began at different times in England, Scotland and Ireland, and we can search up to 2005. In England records begin in September 1837. In Scotland records begin in January 1855. In Ireland records begin in January 1864, but records of marriage (except roman catholic) are available from 1845. If the certificate reference is not known, we can search up to 15 years around the date of the event. |
