Seal of Apostille service

Documents such as birth, marriage, death, academic and export certificates, religious documents, deed poll, wills, powers of attorney and affadavits, need to be legalised for use overseas.  The signature, seal or stamp on the document is checked, and an apostille is added.  This additional certificate confirms the document is genuine.
Original documents (not photocopies) should be sent, but in a few cases photocopies can be legalised as well.

Only documents from UK public organisations or officials can be legalised.  Documents from crown dependencies or overseas territories must be legalised by the country that issued them.  This includes Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey, Gibraltar, Caribbean islands, and the British Antarctic.

When sending your documents, we advise that you use recorded or special delivery to safeguard against loss.


Getting married ?

Please note that the documents required to get married overseas are different for each country. You should contact the authorities in the country where you are getting married for advice.

We attend the Foreign Office in person to have documents certified, and return your documents by recorded post or special delivery.
International delivery can be made using Royal Mail Airsure (£5) or DHL (call for quote).

Prices for delivery in the UK:
£68 per document + £31 time & travel fee.


 Prices for delivery internationally:
Up to 5 documents
£68 per document + £31 time & travel fee + £5 airmail.
If DHL delivery is preferred, please call for a quote.

6 or more documents
As above, plus Airsure or DHL charge - please call for a quote, as the charge depends on the number of documents and the destination.
